Plans to ring in 2018?

Why not live vicariously through Gloria and Declan’s New Years glam wedding styled shoot? I know I will be!
[Beats setting my alarm for 11:59pm to wake up, kiss the hubby and pass back out again. I live a very thrilling life. ha…]

This gorgeous styled shoot has been featured on Elegant Wedding HERE with photos by Emma and design styling by Bourbon & Bloom Events. Together, with a team of enormous talent, we created this new years glam wedding at the new NAC O’Born room and spared no details when it came to doing it right.

The invitation.

What started out as a flat white invite with gold foil and brush strokes soon developed into some sort of crazy glitter bomb type invite with several prototypes preceding this one. The excitement is real folks. I totally did a happy dance for days with this one! IT’S A GLITTER SNOW GLOBE INVITE! My husband is still cursing me as he finds glitter everywhere, but it’s worth it for the end result. I printed the original design on clear transfer paper and created a pocket for the glitter to hold. Then I made a black card stock frame which folded over and encased it all so you wouldn’t see the seams.

Paired with a sweet little RSVP card with witty replies [Will you be bringing someone to kiss at midnight? Or should we seat you with the single hotties?] and hand written calligraphy, it’s safe to say that this our our most favourite suite yet!

The Stationery.

The stationery is the best part about weddings—pulling everything into one cohesive brand. It’s what ties everything together, from the invite (which is the “sneak peek” for all the guest) to the day-of event, bringing in the elements is ideal. In this case, the black brush strokes, gold elements and art deco fonts were applied for the table number, menus and pinch pot wraps. The mini champagne bottles were spray painted gold and hand written for each guest, serving double duty as both a place setting and a favour. #winning

Everything in between.

A wedding can’t be this gorgeous without the talent and resources of other incredible vendors. Let’s talk about the bride first. A beautiful hair piece pulled in her soft up-do and romantic make up while complimenting (not competing) with the most gorgeously detailed gown. Her halo ring with matching band was the perfect addition to the groom’s solid band.

Then we have the ceremony space. Balloons floated above the bride’s head as she walked down the aisle to her groom. The balloon installation backdrop made for some seriously unique photos and one single gold balloon pulled in the entire theme to such a glam wedding.

Stunning florals graced the tablescape (and our bride’s arms). Tall tapered candles and intertwined florals amongst lush greenery brought the eye to the table without taking away from everything. A gold stitched table cloth allowed for the mixed patterned place settings to stand out. While the black and gold cutlery created a fun play off the New Years trend. Confetti detailing was brought in through champagne glasses and pinch pots and each seat received it’s own champagne and menu.

The Team.

None of this would have worked as beautifully as it did, if it weren’t for this incredible team of vendors. Seriously—we were all wound up from trying to find parking underground (a near impossible task—I think I found the last spot between two giant trucks…and I drive a van. Gah!) and yet we still brought our A-game and showcased our talents with all our heart.
